Wii Sports Resort

Nintendo had always intended to give a fitness gift to our kids, and here it is! Even I am addicted to it. The latest addition to the Wii Series is a hit with all its features and games. There is a Wii Remote Jacket – simply the remote and then the Nunchuk. This remote comes with a Wii Motion Sensor which can be fitted onto the Remote – to fine tune the motion reception in the game giving one a better control of the game. Since we bought the Wii Sport Resort the kids and their friends are at home, and what I am thankful about is – yet, active. The game console offers Archery, Basketball, Bowling, cycling, table tennis, sword fighting, golf, powerboat crushing, wakeboarding, canoeing and flying a plane!

It is an Individual and Party game, the more players the better. It has double the number of games than the original, fun accessible and mutliplayer experience is unbeatable. More than one player can play on one remote but a multiplayer experience can be a real party with more  remotes. That means you won’t be bored. Motion plus accessories and sensors are really sensitive. The frisbee dog may be easy to do but the physics of releasing the frisbee can be quite a challenge to master. There is a total of 12 games but each has a mode – from simple to advance and options; for example, the sword play has the duel, speed slice and showdown modes, all of them enjoyable after you have gotten the hang of them.

Halo 3: ODST Game Review

Halo 3: ODST

The anticipation for Halo: ODST has been building up since the last chapter of Halo (Halo 3) was released two years ago. With a new storyline that occurs between the episodes of Halo 2 and Halo 3, Halo: ODST, Bungie develops its celebrated universe and brings the gaming experience to a new level.

As opposed to playing the Master Chief, the gamer plays a Rookie (orbital drop shock trooper, thus Halo:OBST) that enters the conflict-ridden and war-torn city called New Mombasa. The best feature about this new game is the fresh four player co-op Firefight mode. Firefight mode is inspired and developed from the Horde mode of Gears of War 2 which places four players in opposition to surges of covenant adversaries using the online capabilities of Xbox Live, split screen or system link.

With Halo 3: ODST expect your Rookie character to have less agility that the Master Chief you are used to, as well as less damage absorption. Instead your rookie will have a stamina bar that allows you to gauge his remaining strength.

Halo 3: ODST presents new weaponry like the suppressed submachine-gun rifle which has bullets that penetrate armor and acts as a great sniping weapon as well. However, this weapon can only be fired in short bursts since it delivers heavy recoil. Another weapon, the Auto Mag pistol, is a powerful performer that can deliver gratifying shots to the head of your enemy.

Bungie’s Halo 3: ODST is proving to be a worthy successor to the substantial Halo 3. With the introduction of a number of new game-play mechanics, the Halo enthusiast is treated to a thrilling gaming experience with the usual Halo intensity, but at a fresh new angle.

FIFA 2010 Game

If you are the ultimate football fan, then if you buy FIFA 2010 you will not be dissapointed. With FIFA 09 already being a peak performer in football game franchising, Electronic Arts outdoes itself with the highly anticipated FIFA 2010.

It is the goal of FIFA 2010 to mirror the actual real-life experience of football games, so it has worked hard on improving the fundamentals of game-play to increase the football control and interaction between players. With a more natural feel to it, players will be able to evaluate space in a more effectual way. Therefore, basic actions like tackling, slide tackling, and press marking are controlled with new options in FIFA 2010.

The three major goals of creating FIFA 2010 were to enhance game-play, develop the game in response to fan suggestions and feedback, and improve the game through new approaches.

To enhance game-play, EA focused on developing and perfecting the actions of trapping, positioning, shooting, passing, defending and in creating more aggressive keepers.

With the requests of fans based on FIFA 09 and with the frustrations revealed about the weaknesses of the last release, EA has improved on the animation and game rules, and is now allowing players to do test and practice matches. Innovations added to the game are the new realistic features allowing skilled dribbling, 360 degree dribbling, and freedom in physical play.

This game has also taken the Manager mode into consideration wherein an improvement to match realism, football atmosphere, transfers, and player development have been made. With all these upcoming features in the highly anticipated FIFA 2010, fans are waiting with bated breath until they finally hit the stores.

The resistance band has two handles attached to each other with a long rubber band. The leg pouch is made to slip onto your leg to get movement measurements.
