Red Dead Redemption has a morality system where players can gain positive or negative moral based on what you do within the game. You can save hostages or kill hostages, commit crimes or abide by the law. Red Dead Redemption will award you with points based on how you behave. You can also rob civilians in the game which also reacts with another points system in the game called ‘fame’ which is the measure of how people react to your behaviour. Good or bad.

The game has a style of gameplay called ‘open world environment’ where you can choose how you want to play the game. You must complete the red dead redemption storyline missions to progress in the game, mind. Along with that though are other mini missions that you will randomly encounter as you explore the vast world of red dead redemption. These include ambushes, animal attacks and public hangings! You can also take part in gambling and hunting.

When the player makes an enemy the game uniquely creates the reactions towards you player. The main player, John Marston has a lot of weapons he can use against enemies such as guns knives, rifles and cannons.

The game also has a feature similar to a matric style of play where you get bullet time so you can better aim for opponents and shoot at multiple parts of the body while time moves slow. Once time speeds up the gun will fire in quick succession in the places you shot in bullet time, giving you a time advantage.

Combat is a massive part of the game, with gunfights and fist fights. The fights take place using a third person view in which you can take cover and target specific opponents. You can also aim for seperate body parts of enemies, in which you can choose whether you want to kill or just injur the enemy you are fighting.

Not only are the graphics better than ever but they’re cleverer too – displaying mission objectives on the side of walls and using new visual aids to help keep you one step ahead of the terrorists.

Sam Fisher isn’t playing the good guy any more. The most dangerous person ingaming has now quit working and is taking the law into his own hands following the loss of his daughter. When he discovers that someone is responisble for her death he goes out and he actively searches for answers. Now that he’s on his own and out for revenge there’s less emphasis on stealth and more on all out action and unrestricted body counts. Environments are more interactive too, with almost any object ready to be used as a weapon. Plus you can climb onto and around almost every piece of architecture to set-up your ambushes.

Modern Warfare 2 is the latest Call of Duty game released by Infinity Ward. The games release date is early november 2009 and it is set to be one of the biggest games of 2009. The games producers ‘infinity’ announced on February 11th, 2009 that the game will be due for release November 10, 2009 and will be published by Activision. Modern Warfare 2 is the follow on to Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and it will continue the storyline, although it does not carry the Call Of Duty series title.

Modern Warfare 2 is based a few years after Call Of Duty 4 and sergeant “soap” (the main character from Call Of Duty 4) returns as a non-playable character and is now a captain in the special air service. MacTavish leads an elite, multinational commando unit, to counter a Russian organization. The organization is led by Vladimir Makarov, a former associate of Imran Zakhaev, who has been portraying Zakhaev’s death as an act of martyrdom to gain support for his cause. He has built a strong power base in Russia over the years and in response MacTavish and his elite unit has been given the task to stop him. Missions are held in the mountains of Russia, an Afghanistan desert and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Wii Sports Resort

Nintendo had always intended to give a fitness gift to our kids, and here it is! Even I am addicted to it. The latest addition to the Wii Series is a hit with all its features and games. There is a Wii Remote Jacket – simply the remote and then the Nunchuk. This remote comes with a Wii Motion Sensor which can be fitted onto the Remote – to fine tune the motion reception in the game giving one a better control of the game. Since we bought the Wii Sport Resort the kids and their friends are at home, and what I am thankful about is – yet, active. The game console offers Archery, Basketball, Bowling, cycling, table tennis, sword fighting, golf, powerboat crushing, wakeboarding, canoeing and flying a plane!

It is an Individual and Party game, the more players the better. It has double the number of games than the original, fun accessible and mutliplayer experience is unbeatable. More than one player can play on one remote but a multiplayer experience can be a real party with more  remotes. That means you won’t be bored. Motion plus accessories and sensors are really sensitive. The frisbee dog may be easy to do but the physics of releasing the frisbee can be quite a challenge to master. There is a total of 12 games but each has a mode – from simple to advance and options; for example, the sword play has the duel, speed slice and showdown modes, all of them enjoyable after you have gotten the hang of them.

Halo 3: ODST

The anticipation for Halo: ODST has been building up since the last chapter of Halo (Halo 3) was released two years ago. With a new storyline that occurs between the episodes of Halo 2 and Halo 3, Halo: ODST, Bungie develops its celebrated universe and brings the gaming experience to a new level.

However, this weapon can only be fired in short bursts since it delivers heavy recoil. Another weapon, the Auto Mag pistol, is a powerful performer that can deliver gratifying shots to the head of your enemy.
